My previous post has put me in the mood to reminisce about the food we got to eat in Seoul during our visit last 2019. In some ways, I feel that it’s a bit lacking compared to the Busan food experience we had, considering we were here in Seoul for a longer period of time. However nothing we ate fell short of expectations, so in that I find comfort.

Autumn in Seoul 2019: Gwangjang Market & Mangwon Market
I contemplated for quite some time how I was going to break down my Seoul posts into more digestible bits. In the end, I decided to go by categories, so I’m lumping the two markets we visited during this trip in one post. It’s easier to see the differences between Gwangjang Market & Mangwon Market this way as well, though of course the good food contained inside makes them more similar than meets the eye.

Autumn in Seoul 2019: Stunning Seoraksan (Part II) & Hongcheon Gingko Forest
This post continues my visual diary of our trip to the gorgeous Seoraksan National Park; then ends with a stop at a place that looks like it climbed out of a fairytale called the Hongcheon Gingko Forest. I’ll just jump right in then!

Autumn in Seoul 2019: Day-trip to Stunning Seoraksan (Part I)
Although there was much to look forward to during this trip, I have to say that I looked forward to visiting Seoraksan National Park the most. I was initially nervous about it though. I spent the days leading up to our day-trip obsessively checking social media to see if any recent photos were geotagged to the place. I desperately wanted to know the extent of autumn’s arrival at Seoraksan and whether it would live up to my expectations. I’ve seen photos. I’ve formed these images in my mind. I did not want to go home disappointed.

Autumn in Seoul 2019: The breathtaking Haneul Park
Until now, it still boggles my mind that a place like Haneul Park exists in Seoul. It’s not about the park itself- though of course it is incredibly picturesque- but what it represents: Renewal. Regeneration. Rebirth.

Autumn in Seoul 2019: Halloween at EVERLAND South Korea
In an unintentional twist of fate, today I get to share with you a very appropriate post in time for Halloween lol. I feel like most theme parks I’ve ever been to pull out all the stops on two occasions: Halloween and Christmas. But depending on how “adult” the theme park is, the decor will look more kid-friendly in some compared to others. In Everland, it feels like a really weird mix. (In some ways it’s like a cross between Disneyland and Universal Studios.) Regardless, there’s fun to be had!
