Anyone who has ever gone on a trip to Japan with me knows that I always bring a luggage that’s twice as big as I actually need. Why? Because half of that is going to get filled with snack food souvenirs. I even bring a portable weighing scale just to make sure I don’t go over the weight limit lol. I can’t seem to stop myself from buying and trying Japanese snack foods. How they come up with all these creative and delicious things is beyond me. I’m not complaining though!

Some memorable Tokyo Eats from Spring of 2019
Anyone who has ever visited Japan will tell you that it is a haven for foodies. In fact, I am not sure I have ever eaten anything from this country I did not like. Even their convenience store food is good! (Possibly the best in the world alongside Taiwan.) During our visit to Tokyo, I didn’t get to hit up nearly as many of the food places I wanted to visit due to time constraint and them being out of the way, but I was still fairly happy with the places we did get to visit. Just thought I’d share them here!

Trying the Signature Tasting Menu at Mr & Mrs Bund Shanghai
In the second installment of bougie AF places I get to visit when I travel with my Dad, I’ll be talking about the meal I had in a restaurant called Mr & Mrs Bund in Shanghai. It’s a concept by Chef Paul Pairet, whose other eatery in the city holds the distinction of three Michelin stars. Though Mr & Mrs Bund is not a Michelin rated restaurant, it has received a good number of accolades over the years. It even became part of ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ in previous years.

Visiting the Shanghai Starbucks Reserve Roastery
On a hot sunny September day during a business trip with my Dad, we snuck out from the convention we were attending to visit the Shanghai Starbucks Reserve Roastery. To be fair, it was my Dad’s idea. He’s never been a coffee drinker, ever, but he seems to have gained this new obsession with Starbucks Roasteries ever since his visit to the Milan one. And so off to ‘Xing Ba Khe’ we went.

5-Day Sample Sapporo Itinerary for a September Summer Trip
To say my planned Sapporo Itinerary for this trip fell into pieces may seem a bit melodramatic, but that was how it felt to me at the time. None of us could have predicted that we would experience a (hopefully once in a lifetime) major earthquake on our very first night in Sapporo. It caused pretty much the entire island to shut down for approximately 24 hours, more or less.

My Sapporo 2018 Summer Snack Haul [Japanese Snacks Vol. 5]
Japanese snacks! I love them because they are always so interesting and so high-quality, but I also hate them because I can’t stop myself from, well, snacking. I know, it’s such a dilemma lol. Whenever I go on trips to Japan, I always go home with a suitcase twice as heavy, filled with snacks and food items. Literally half my suitcase would be empty when I leave, and they’d be close to popping when I come home. It’s insane, but I love it lol. Eye-catching packaging aside, they manage to come up with these interesting concepts and flavors that I never see anywhere else. Stuff like that are always a…
