Among the important life lessons I’ve learned so far, one of my favourites is how sometimes the things we fear, once overcome, can turn into things we grow to love and cherish. I think this is the sort of relationship I have with yeast. I used to be so afraid of failing with it, always getting ahead of myself in imagining all sorts of possible mishaps, that I turn into such a nervous mess whenever I start the recipe. Whole Wheat Pita Bread- the most therapeutic thing I made all year
Let’s face it, the holidays can sometimes get people into a gift-shopping, party-planning frenzy. For bakers like myself, the feeling of glee and the spirit of Christmas generates such an excitement in the creation of a wide array of Christmas-y treats that I feel like I should live in my kitchen at least for the month of December. The graduation luncheon
I officially graduated today! It feels so strange to be reminded of finishing a significant chapter in my life. We’ve been hearing so many good things about its authentic Singaporean Hainanese Chicken. The last time I went to Singapore was almost 9 or 10 years ago, and to be honest I can’t remember a thing! On October 10, 2010, the restaurant was brought to the local Manila scene by two entrepreneurs, Linfred Yap and Wyser…
